Auditions for Willy Wonka, Kids

FCFT will hold open auditions for their Spring Youth Musical~ Willy Wonka, Kids on Saturday, February 5 for ages 8 to 16 years. Saturday, February 5 Ages: 8 t...o 12 at 11:00 a.m. Ages: 13 to 16 at 2:00 p.m. (Call Backs For All roles at 4:00 p.m.) 

*Those auditioning will learn a song from the show and a simple dance combination. Those being considered for speaking roles, will be asked to read from the script.

Willy Wonka / Candy Man~ The mysterious owner of the Candy Factory~ Main Character/ Strong Singer / Character Actor~ Male 12 to 16 years 
Charlie Bucket~ A kind and genuinly enthusiastic young boy...a golden ticket winner ~ Main Character / Strong Singer / ~ Male 8 to 13 years 
Grandpa Joe~ Kind and responsible grandparent who comes with Charlie to the Candy Factory / Strong Supporting Role ~ Male 13 to 16 years 
Mr Bucket~ Charlie's loving, but poor father / Small role ~ Male 13 to 16 years 
Mike Teavee~ Loud and bratty, TV, Video and Internet junky, one of the golden ticket winners / Supporting Character role~ Male 8 to 13 years 
Augustas Gloop~ Extreme overeater, one of the golden ticket winners / supporting role~ Male 8 to 15 years

FCFT will also offer~ The Art of Musical Theatre Auditioning Workshop Willy Wonka, Kids 

Friday, February 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. Ages: 8 to 16 years Fee: $40.00 A great way to become familiar with the dance, song and script being used at auditions. Class will conclude with a mock audition with director's suggestions on ways to improve your chances of being cast. (NOTE: Attending the Audition Workshop in NO WAY guarantees that you will be cast in the show. It is offered as an aide in auditioning.)
